After much contemplation about what I should make for this show my muse declared, "New Flowers!" Sooooo, here are the results of my last three months efforts. It was interesting to note how one idea, or form, or move, would lead to the next - or not! First we were making flowers with five petals, then seven petals, then seven cut petals, then seven pulled petals. Then we would change completely and try a flat form with indented edges, or have an idea to try, such as irises. Every flower has its own set of problems to solve; what should I do first? Should I spin or not spin? Cut or pull or both? What did we do last time? What looks the best? It is very rewarding to figure out what looks good and how to make it. My new forms are: tulips, nasturtiums, stars & starfish flowers, icy spikes, egg flowers, seveners and lilies, and, last but not least, new small leaves. I hope you like the show! It was a lot of fun to make.
