Collage, Mixed Media & Encaustics
Collage is mixed media art work on canvas or board using acrylic paints and gels for lots of texture and effect. Collage also incorporates handmade papers, found objects and original or borrowed images to create something new. Printmaking is the starting point of artists Jessica McGreal and Sarah Watson using oil paints, pastels or encaustic wax to embellish the pieces. Lori Barrett's mixed media collages are modern interpretations of idioms and stories. Kat DuBose has a whimsical look and feel to her work.
