Years ago I bagan my creative ife with a six dollar sack of clay and fell in love with the earthiness of it all. I have worked with terracotta, earthenware and recently porcelain. My art has evolved to represent the feeling and movement in my natural surroundings, the beach, tides, oceans, shells and seaweed remembered as a child growing up on Kodiak Island, Alaska. I explored tide pools, climbed trees, rolled around in foot-thick moss, snacked on salmon berries, rosehips, seaweeds, and limpets. This playground of beaches, cliffs, woods, wildlife, left its indelible mark.
