Having lived in South America and Europe before immigrating to the United States in 1980, I have Spanish and English heritage, which infuses my work with a rich cultural influence. I moved to the Northwest from Texas with my husband and children in 2002 and worked with Special Education students at the Bainbridge Island School District.

With a degree in Fine Art and through many years of dedication to Graphic Design, my art combines bold layouts and colors that express how I feel about what I am painting. Although the medium I use is primarily Acrylic paint, I sometimes include textures from handmade papers and fabrics. Color plays a key role, evolving sometimes into the main protagonist of the composition.
