I love literature and my mixed media art is based on beloved stories such as fairytales, myths and bible stories and also humorous idioms from my grandfather, Papa Joe. My idiom collages focus on whimsical expressions and images, and include familiar sayings like "Raining Cats and Dogs" as well as expressions that are most common in the South such as "Eating High on the Hog." My story collages are large pieces based on some of my favorite stories that I read to my children, and include a small book of the story embedded within each collage. I also offer art quality prints and cards of my original artwork.
