Leigh Knowles Metteer has devoted over four decades to the art and craft of printmaking. Her work spans lithography, etching, drypoint, monotype, linocut, and serigraphy, each technique offering its own expressive possibilities. Leigh’s prints have been exhibited nationally and internationally, reflecting her deep engagement with the medium’s complexity and beauty. As an educator, she has taught drawing and printmaking at the college and university level, nurturing emerging artists with clarity and care. Now based in Poulsbo, Washington, Leigh continues to teach and create in her studio, where she offers classes in various art forms. Her practice is rooted in process, experimentation, and the enduring resonance of ink meeting paper.
